Meat-Luck

Fun

I work with a group of seven other people on the Creative Team, who to say least are all foodies who love to cook, watch cooking shows, eat good food, and eat local. We did a potluck around Christmas and we did it up pretty damn good. So another one was organized. I am not sure how it came about, but this second one was dubbed the “Meat-luck”.

Every dish had to include some form of meat and the only green item allowed was pickles (the pickles were a necessity for cutting through the fat and food coma). Here are a few pictures of some of the dishes made:

Quiche  — Smoked Salmon Lox — Candied Bacon

St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and another potluck already in the works hilariously enough. This time everything has to be green — thank goodness!

Empanadas and Skating in Randolph, Vermont

Fun, Positive Review

Yea, I got totally wrapped up in how good the empanadas tasted that I forgot to take a picture. Anna went all out! She had mini vegetarian ones, baked ones, deep fried ones, gluten free ones, and more! Below is the recipe for the masa empanadas that were fried. The recipe is from the “Empanadas: The Hand-Held Pies of Latin America”cookbook. We should make these for a meal sometime!
